International Organizations & Multilateral Affairs

Positioning the Armenian Diaspora Within the Global Institutional System

Purpose

To serve as the official multilateral engagement arm of the Hye Diaspora Congress, representing Armenian diaspora interests within international organizations, multilateral institutions, and global governance frameworks.

Mission

To advance Armenian national and diaspora priorities by engaging constructively with international organizations, United Nations bodies, multilateral institutions, and global civil society, through structured representation, policy engagement, and programmatic cooperation.

Vision

An Armenian diaspora that is institutionally present, respected, and effective within the global multilateral system—actively shaping international agendas rather than reacting to them.

Why This Department Matters

In the modern world, global decisions are increasingly made in multilateral forums.

Without organized multilateral engagement:

  • Armenian issues remain invisible in global policy spaces
  • International standards and norms are shaped without Armenian input
  • Opportunities for global cooperation, funding, and protection are lost

This department ensures that Armenian diaspora interests are embedded within international institutions, not addressed only after crises occur.

Multilateral presence transforms national concerns into international responsibility.

What We Do

The Department of International Organizations & Multilateral Affairs coordinates the Congress’s engagement with:

  • Global policy forums, coalitions, and networks

All engagement is conducted:

  • In alignment with Congress policy positions
  • With professional documentation and reporting
  • In coordination with diplomacy, legal, and advocacy departments

This department represents the diaspora as a serious, organized, non-state institutional actor.
